Helios drone not appearing on the DCC

This method is for advanced users only. Please make sure to know what you are doing.

Whenever a Helios drone (Mambo) doesn't appear on the DCC it is due to an unusual flashing procedure leading to a bricking in most cases.

Prerequisites​

  • 1 Helios invisible on the DCC
  • 1 Operation laptop
  • 1 Micro-USB cable

Method​

Connect the Helios to the operator laptop using the Micro-USB cable.

Launch a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) then launch the following command to access the drone telnet 192.168.2.1

Using the ls /factory command, check that no files are present.

tip

If the folder contains some files, send the drone to maintenance.

If the folder is empty, run the factory_filter.sh command.

The script will prompt for some information:

  • Am I a wingx ?: Type NO then press Enter
  • Please enter the content of the serial.txt: Press Enter
  • Please enter the content of the mac_address.txt: Press Enter

Once done use the following commands to reboot the drone:

sync
reboot.sh
