DCC Deployment

Installing the DCC

To make sure that the system is properly installed, these steps have to be followed in the order specified

  • Connected the UPS to the electrical distribution box
  • Connect the electrical cable located on the backside of the DCC rack to the Main socket located on the UPS
  • Connect the Operation Laptop to one of the slave socket of the UPS
  • Connect the Operation Laptop ethernet port to one of the DCC rack switch's port using an RJ45 cable. This chosen port needs to be 1-12.
  • Switch the UPS on by pressing the power button for a few seconds
  • Make sure that the Master switch located on the backside of the DCC unit is switched on
  • Switch the DCC on by pressing the power button for a few seconds
  • Switch the Operation Laptop on by pressing the power button for a few seconds

Wait a few minutes for all the equipments to finish their boot sequence. Afterward, check the following:

  • Open Google Chrome on the Operation Laptop and check that the internet is accessible by going to https://google.fr
  • Check that the DCC is reachable by going to http://10.0.0.100
  • Check that the Unifi Controller is reachable by going to http://10.0.0.100:8443 (a warning message may appear, ignore it)

Before continuing with the rest of the installation, make sure that the work environment is clean and tidy. Cables should be grouped and not in the way of people, neither on the ground nor on the desk.
